Will the final price match the quote?
Yes — always. We provide fixed-price quotes before any work begins. The price in your quote is the price on your invoice. The only exception is if you specifically ask us to carry out additional work that wasn't included in the original scope.
Are your electricians qualified and registered?
Absolutely. AMG Electrical is registered with both NICEIC and NAPIT — two of the UK's leading electrical competency schemes. All our engineers are fully qualified and assessed against current UK standards.
What is Part P and does it apply to my job?
Part P is the section of the Building Regulations that covers electrical safety in homes. Certain types of work — including new circuits, fuse board replacements, and work in bathrooms or kitchens — must be notified to your local authority. As a registered contractor, we self-certify this work on your behalf and provide the relevant certificates.

How often does a rental property need an EICR?
Landlords are legally required to have an Electrical Installation Condition Report carried out every five years — or at the start of a new tenancy. We provide clear, thorough EICR inspections with honest reporting. If work is required, we'll tell you exactly what it involves and what it costs.
Can you work on commercial and industrial properties?
Yes. We work across residential, commercial, and industrial sites throughout Manchester. From small retail units to large industrial facilities, we're equipped for projects of all scales and provide the same transparent pricing regardless of the job size.
Do I need to be at home for a quote?
For smaller jobs, we can often provide a quote over the phone or by email if you can describe the work or send a few photos. For larger projects — rewires, full installations, or commercial work — we'll arrange a site visit at a time that suits you.
